TITLE: Steel Handlers (1st and 2nd Shifts)

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for preparing and placing-material
for shipment on the proper vehicles to be
transported to the appropriate customer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives customer steel orders, and proceeds to pull stock from inventory and prepare -for shipment.
Bands and tags material with appropriate information.
Loads material onto trucks and if necessary assists in securing material to the vehicles.
Must operate a crane and forklift skillfully and safely.
Performs other duties as instructed and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to read a tape measure
Able to perform general mathematical computations
Familiarity with steel products
Excellent physical condition
Ability to read/write/speak fluent english

TITLE: Straight Truck Driver
CURRENT OPENINGS: 0
REPORTS TO: Distribution Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Transports material from steel warehouse and distributes to appropriate customer
locations. Collects material from vendors and returns it to the warehouse for future sale.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transports material to designated locations for delivery.
Assists in unloading material at delivery sights.
Collects payment when necessary and/or leaves billing with customer.
Retrieves material from vendors and deposits in warehouse to be inventoried for future sale.
Responsible to adhere to and be in compliance with DOT regulations.
Maintains driver log of hours worked.
Maintains records of mileage in surrounding states in order for accurate payment of out of state fuel tax
to be made.
Reports to appropriate personnel when problems or difficulties arise.
Performs other duties as assigned or instructed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess a Class B Driver's License
Familiarity with steel products
Good physical condition
Be able to satisfy DOT regulations
Ability to read a road map and familiarity of delivery area
